Senior Account Manager

Big Nerd Ranch is a team of expert developers, specializing in training and consulting on mobile and web development. Over the years, we've hosted thousands of students at our classes, helped companies around the world realize their programming goals, and released new books in the Big Nerd Ranch Guide Series every year.

We are looking to grow our Sales team to connect our excellent developers to companies who need our help.  Do you like helping big companies solve big problems via the best tools, people, and practices?  You'll love this job.

What you'll do (Responsibilities):

  • Lead all aspects of the sales process, calling upon others to assist in solution development and proposal delivery.
  • Work strategically with sales and marketing to foster existing relationships.
  • Collaborate with Engineering team to identify the best sales opportunities
  • Travel regularly to assigned accounts
  • Retain and profitably grow BNRs volume, sales, and profitability through proactive management of assigned large-customer relationships
  • Penetrate assigned accounts by:
  • Selling new or additional products or services to current buyers; and/or
  • Finding additional buyers within the existing customer location; and/or
  • Selling additional customer locations
  • Develop customer account plans for all assigned customers by leading a joint company/customer planning process that identify relevant customer needs, prioritize initiatives and company investments, and establish a clear action plan for success
  • Proactively manage customer satisfaction and service delivery by anticipating potential service problems, and monitoring satisfaction

What you already need to know (Requirements):

  • Minimum 6 years of sales experience in a business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment
  • Experience managing complex buyer teams at large companies through long sales cycles
  • Experience in professional services or software sales is a plus
  • Comfortable calling and cold-calling prospective clients for training and software development
  • Sound business insight and sales instincts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • SalesForce experience is mandatory
  • Familiarity with mobile and web technology is a plus
  • BA/BS Degree
